Hospice of Missoula is a charitable hospice, extending service to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

At Hospice of Missoula, we believe each of us has the right to leave this world surrounded by comfort and love. Financial concerns should be at the bottom of the list when discussing decisions at the end of life. Although Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances cover hospice care, we understand special circumstances may arise. We know financial concerns are of the most important concerns we have. We also know that everyone's final stage of life should be filled with as much life, love, and happy memories as other phases of life. For these reasons, Hospice of Missoula has become a charitable hospice, providing service to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

WE SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY

Hospice of Missoula is also a proud supporter of our community. We donate to the Hospice Care Foundation which helps finance patients with no pay source. Our donations also support the future “Hospice House” which will be available for inpatient hospice care for Missoula area hospice patients.  We also donate money to the Summer Bereavement Camp for children (see the following).

The following notes came from parents of bereaved children who we sponsored to attend the Summer Bereavement Camp for children:

The child you have helped is my foster daughter.  In the past two years she has had to deal with not only the loss of her mother, but separation from her father as well.  Thanks to your kindness, she will now have the opportunity to begin the healing process.

We really appreciate your contribution!  My daughter feels so comfortable with the camp staff and I sometimes wonder what we would do without a program with this.  It’s great that there are people like you who contribute to a program like this.  We thank God every day for it!
